Thousands in Israel protest against Prime Minister Netanyahu

TEL AVIV.- Thousands of Israelis protested in several cities across the country against the government of Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahuand the war unleashed in Gaza Strip following the attack by the Islamic movement group, Hamas.

In Israel’s main cities, Netanyahu is being asked to resign, but must first reach an agreement on the release of hostages from the Gaza Strip.

In cities like Tel Aviv, Haifa, Caesarean section y JerusalemIsraeli citizens demanded Netanyahu’s resignation as prime minister.

They demand the release of hostages in the Gaza Strip

Dani Elgarat, brother of the captive Itzik Elgarataccused Netanyahu from the march in Tel Aviv of putting his political survival and personal benefit before the lives of the 116 hostages.

“You choose to sacrifice the lives of our loved ones for your political survival. Soon, you will know us all because we will all become families in mourning, hostages,” Elgarat said.

Israelis taken hostage by Hamas

More than eight and a half months after the Hamas attack on October 7, 116 Israelis remain in captivity and, of them, US intelligence estimates that only about 50 are still alive, the newspaper reported a few days ago The Wall Street Journal.
