More favorable conditions are created for scientists and businesses to aim for better results: to strengthen the quality of “European Horizon” applications, to establish closer relations with the international scientific community, to contribute to increasing the internationality and competitiveness of Lithuanian science.
Research and study institutions and business companies are invited to participate in the activities of the European Horizon program and receive financial support aimed at strengthening skills in preparing applications for program calls, as well as financing start-up projects.
“We want to encourage Lithuanian scientists and businesses to cooperate more, create more actively and participate in international projects, therefore we invite these communities to use the support for the activities of the European Horizon – as much as 40 million is allocated for this purpose. euros from the Economic Revitalization and Resilience Enhancement Plan.
We would like to especially encourage those who still have doubts about their capabilities and preparation for an EU program of this level to use the support. The support provides an opportunity not only to become more familiar with the requirements of “European Horizon”, but also to consult with experts, based on their help to prepare applications”, says the Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Sports Justas Nugaras.
The Ministry of Education, Science and Sports announces two invitations to Lithuanian applicants to better prepare for the activities of the European Horizon program.
Support for both researchers and business enterprises
Representatives of science and business are invited to apply for support in preparing start-up R&D projects, feasibility studies, roadmaps, as well as to use expert consulting services.
Research and study institutions and small and medium-sized enterprises can receive support for developing a roadmap related to the topics of Horizon Europe. Applicants who plan to participate in the Horizon Europe calls highlight their goals and results to be achieved, milestones and other essential information in the roadmap – a strategic document.
Research and study institutions and small and medium-sized enterprises can also apply for support in the preparation of start-up feasibility projects to prepare for submitting an application under Horizon Europe calls, to test an R&D idea, and to attract partners.
Individual consulting or expert services can be financed for coordinators and partners of Lithuanian Horizon and European Atomic Energy Community Research and Training Program (EURATOM) consortium projects. Small and medium-sized companies with an invitation from the European Commission to submit the long application of the second stage of the call for the European Innovation Council’s EIC Accelerator are provided with additional support for the preparation of an analysis of the company’s innovation potential.
More than 7 mln. euros from the Economic Revitalization and Resilience Enhancement Plan and the state budget funds. Research and study institutions and business companies can submit applications for certain activities continuously until 2026. the end of April.
According to the second call, the Lithuanian Science Council will organize targeted group consultations aimed at strengthening the competencies of Lithuanian applicants to participate in international R&D projects. Experts of the highest international level will be invited to the consultations, and representatives of scientific and study institutions, small and medium and large companies will be able to participate in them.
