In early July, he was the focus of an investigation by Télérama magazine, which described the atmosphere at Télématin as one of “constant pressure and toxic management.” The presenter defended himself saying, “I have never fostered an environment of fear, it is not in my nature,” while admitting that he could be “demanding” and “very straightforward.”
“A big thank you to Thomas Sotto for his three years at Télématin. He has played a significant role in revitalizing this iconic show and maintaining its position as the top morning show,” France Télévisions news director Alexandre Kara told Télérama on Monday.

Launched in 1985 and airing from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., Télématin attracts an average of 700,000 viewers. Despite facing competition from “Bonjour” on TF1 since January, Télématin has remained the top French morning show. The show will continue to be on air during the Paris Olympic Games, which conclude on August 11.
