“Thomas Müller’s Instagram horse post sets the record straight on Bayern Munich departure rumors”

Thomas Müller (33, contract until 2024) made fun of rumors on Wednesday announcing he was regarding to leave Bayern Munich this summer, in an original Instagram post with his horse.

“If you might read the King D’avie newspapers”: Bayern Munich striker Thomas Müller (33) posed with his horse on social media on Wednesday, quipping on rumors of his desire to leave his club of always, appeared in the German weekly Sport Bild.

A chivalrous joke

The Instagram post is directed at the horse King D’avie, who is seen grazing on grass, with the emoji of a monkey covering his eyes in spite. Müller added three ashtags to it: “#jetzwirdsdannlangsamwild (it’s now getting sweetly fierce)”, #vollerkokusaufdieschale” (all focus on the league), and “#nurderfcb” (just Bayern).

In its Wednesday edition, the German newspaper explains that a departure from Munich in the summer of the 2014 world champion is not excluded. After playing as a child at TSV Pähl from 1993 to 2000, Müller grew up in all of Bayern’s youth teams, before signing his first contract in February 2009, turning professional at the age of 20 on July 1, 2009. He has since always extended his adventure with the Bavarian club, with which he is under contract until the summer of 2024.

On the bench since the arrival of Tuchel

With Bayern, Thomas Müller won the Champions League twice (2013, 2020), the Bundesliga eleven times (2010 and 2013/22) and the German Cup six times. Injured in the fall before the 2022 World Cup, Thomas Müller has been a substitute lately, four times in the first nine matches of Thomas Tuchel, who arrived on the Bayern bench at the end of March.
