Thomas Lagerlöf talks about Viktor Bergh and Adam Ståhl

Djurgården IF has recently completed two reinforcements for the autumn season.

Thomas Lagerlöf, coach in Djurgården, wanted to sign Ståhl to IK Sirius back in 2017. He is satisfied with the new acquisition.

– Then he had shown up in Norrby. He has developed enormously since then, it is an energy player and usually full speed in both directions, he says The Express.

Lagerlöf is also pleased that the club has managed to connect with Bergh.

– Skilled player who impressed in Värnamo, especially in the matches we faced them, but he has followed it up this season and shown that he maintains a high level. Good speed on him too, says the coach.

At the same time, Djurgården is said to be close to selling left-back Samuel Dahl to Roma. Lagerlöf comments on Bergh’s possibilities to replace in the position.

– To some extent quite similar in terms of speed, but then they play a little differently in Värnamo. But there are some similarities, but you shouldn’t think that we are replacing a player type in Dahl with exactly the same characteristics. We know approximately what we will get from Viktor, and he will be allowed to develop here as well. It is not a direct copy of Dahl, he tells Expressen.

At the same time, Bosse Andersson, sports director in Djurgården, tells The soccer channel that both new signings are available for tomorrow’s match against Progrés Niedercorn.

– That’s right. Both are ready to play, says Bosse Andersson to Fotbollskanalen.

Both Bergh and Ståhl have signed contracts that extend beyond 2027.
