At the end of April, the OÖN had already reported exclusively for the first time regarding the interest in bringing the former Blau-Weiß player home. Goiginger finally made his breakthrough in professional football with the Royal Blues following a strong 2016/2017 season. In 2017, he moved to city rivals LASK and made 242 competitive appearances for the Black and Whites (58 goals, 56 assists).

Last winter, the Köstendorf native moved to Osnabrück in the second German Bundesliga. After the Lower Saxony team was relegated, Goiginger left his home country following only six months – and is now likely to return home.
