THE 2024 Ramadhan Jazz Festival, which is entering its 13th year of implementation, will be held March 29-30 2024 at the Cut Meutia Mosque Platform, Menteng, Central Jakarta. This time the Ramadhan Jazz Festival is selling tickets allocated to Palestinians in need.

Chairman of the Cut Meutia Mosque (Ricma) Islamic Youth Muhammad Ridho Dafiutomo, in his speech, said, “In Indonesia, harmony comes from Unity, either way, Unity also comes from Harmony. This is the theme of this year’s Ramadhan Jazz Festival. And we are working together with the Palestinian Embassy in Jakarta for distribution of donations this year.”

WartaJazz representative Agus Setiawan Basuni said, “Thank God, Allah SWT still gives us the age to be able to meet once more with the month full of wisdom and present the Ramadhan Jazz Festival. This is the only Jazz Festival held in the month of Ramadan, in the Mosque Courtyard, and organized by young people.”

Muhammad Pradana Indraputra, who represented the Cut Meutia Mosque Foundation Management, in his speech said, “The Ramadhan Jazz Festival is not only an innovative form of da’wah but also reflects harmony and a new face for Indonesia in the future and helps our brothers and sisters in Palestine.”

Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno appreciated the implementation of the Ramadhan Jazz Festival, “This deserves to be a National Event”.

He then invited the entire audience to pray together and closed it with the poem “The fragrance of a burst of roses, the beating of drums like a carnival. Let your Ramadhan be blessed, let’s donate at the Ramadhan Jazz Festival”.

Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo, who was also present, gave a speech, “RJF has become part of the lives of the young generation in the month of Ramadan. This is a good and positive event. The Ministry of Youth and Sports is ready to support it in the coming year.”

The Ramadhan Jazz Festival entered its 13th year on the first day presenting Maliq & D’Essentials, Salma Salsabil, Ecoutez, Alfie Alfandy, and Bilal Indrajaya.

Their appearance received an extraordinary response from the average audience of young people.

After his speech, Alfie Alfandy appeared with several numbers such as Hallucination, Deras, and Pintu Rumah.

Meanwhile Maliq & D’Essentials hypnotized the audience with a number of viral songs such as Kita Bikin Romantis and Ouch. Other songs are popular numbers from them such as Dia, Setapak Sriwedari, Senja Teduh Pelita, Menari, Himalaya, Untitled, and My Choice.

Salma Salsabil, who appeared followingwards, performed two of her hits, Rumah and Bunga Cintaku apart from singing the song Teman Tapi Mesra, which was popularized by Ratu, then I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing from Aerosmith, and Rewarding the Words of Longing and Mistakes by Ruth Sahanaya .

After Salma, it was Bilal Indrajaya’s turn to present Gulana, Ruang Kecil, Nelangsa Pasar Turi, Saujana and Biar. A number by Sore entitled Dusty Eyes is also featured.

Ecoutez concluded the first night of the Ramadhan Jazz Festival with 5 numbers, namely Just Save, Forgive (not perfect), Come Back, Believe, and a religious song Mentioning the Name of Allah.

The second night of the Ramadhan Jazz Festival was no less exciting with the lineup of performers Dwiki Dharmawan ft. Iwan Abdie and Fakhri Violin, Nadhif Basalamah, The Groove ft. Tiara Effendy and final performance with Marcell Siahaan. (RO/Z-1)
