This is great news for PS5 players: Scorn coming soon to Sony’s latest console. First announced in 2015, the title from Ebb Software experienced a tumultuous development to say the least before landing exclusively on the Xbox ecosystem last year.
Originally, given the various presentations of the software, the players expected a tortured FPS, plunging them into a sticky atmosphere straight out of the imagination of the artist HR Giger, famous in particular for his work on the Alien saga. But upon release, Scorn turned out to be closer to a full-bodied puzzle game rather than a nervous and creepy shooter.
That being said, Scorn has enough assets to be considered a very good experience. As for the sticky atmosphere and the artistic quality of the game, these elements are indeed there. A must-play for dark sci-fi lovers.
An upcoming release on PS5
Available exclusively on PC and Xbox Series since October 14 of last year, Scorn is about to arrive on PS5. So be careful: you will still have to wait. The official release date hasn’t been shared yet, but it’s already been announced that the app is due out on PS5 this fall. Potentially on October 14, or even after, which would correspond to the year of Xbox exclusivity. The Ebb Software teams promise “an even deeper immersion” thanks to the technology embedded in the DualSense, the PS5 controller.
In addition, we also learn that Scorn will benefit on PS5 from a physical release with a Deluxe Edition. This edition will include the game, as well as a magnificent Steelbook, but also all the bonuses included in the Digital Deluxe already marketed, namely an official artbook and the soundtrack of the game. If we rely on the prices of the PC versions and Xbox, Scorn should be offered at a price of 39.99 euros and an additional ten euros for its Deluxe version. An outing to watch!
