Tore O. Sandvik (Ap) acts as climate and environment minister

It is Tore O. Sandvik who will sit as minister, while Andreas Bjelland Eriksen (Ap) is in the papa folder.

He is appointed from 2 September 2024 and acts as a substitute until 31 December 2024.

Sandvik is a former county mayor in Trøndelag.

The Danish Supreme Court hears a case about a transgender person in prison

The Supreme Court is expected to deal with the case that an inmate who is transgender has brought against the Danish correctional service.

Both the district court and the high court have previously rejected her demand to avoid serving time in a men’s section in the prison.

The Supreme Court does not pronounce judgment on the same day.

Pope Francis on long trip to Asia and Oceania

On September 2, Pope Francis embarks on his longest journey since he became the head of the Catholic Church.

Despite the concern for the Pope’s health, the 87-year-old will visit Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, East Timor and Singapore.
