In social networks, an impressive video of the security cameras of the La Línea road was released, you can see the speed with which the tractor that was involved in the accident that occurred on this road last Tuesday and that left eight people killed and more than 30 injured.
The images show how an operator realizes the speed with which that tractor-trailer was traveling, minutes before it collided with some 16 vehicles in the Los Venados tunnel. The man runs to the side of the road and tries to notice what was happening.

The video would confirm the first hypotheses of the authorities regarding a brake failure and, with the version of the driver, who pointed out that the brakes did not work several kilometers before the crash that occurred in the tunnel.
Driver’s story
“I passed the toll and started picking up. I put the car in fourth gear and saw the air needle start to drop to 60 pounds. I went to the edge, I activated the brakes, but the car did not want to brake from there down. I leaned back to the left side and the air dropped lower and lower; I tried to get the car out of one of the flyers and I mightn’t either because the wall was too high. I kept leaning on the left side in one of the tunnels, until I found all the cars in front of me. I wanted to put the mule down, but there was no way either, “said Diego Fernando Montenegro, driver of the tractor.
It should be noted that some details of the investigation have revealed that the brake system was only working 40% and that the axles were not well calibrated.
