After headaches, nausea, digestive disorders, fever, and respiratory pain, a new symptom due to Covid-19 would have been detected by Swedish researchers. According to a study carried out in Stockholm, Sweden, patients infected with the Omicron variant would suffer from three symptoms common: fever, sore throat and acute odynophagia.
Coronavirus: what is acute odynophagia?
This last symptom is a pain in the esophagus that occurs when swallowing during a meal or when you drink water. A very annoying symptom that should not be taken lightly since it strongly resembles epiglottitis, a swallowing disease that can cause death.
Following this recent discovery, this last symptom has therefore been added to the list of symptoms of Covid-19 and more specifically of the Omicron variant. Among the most surprising symptoms of this variant, we also find night sweats or sleep paralysis.
