The Cinema and Books series, organized by Revista Ñ and CineArte Cacodelphia, has its penultimate performance this Tuesday, starting at 7 p.m., with the screening of The eight mountainsa 2022 Italian-language drama film, directed by Belgians Felix van Groeningen and Charlotte Vandermeersch, who adapted the script from the novel of the same name by Paolo Cognetti.
The film describes the friendship between two men who spend their childhood together in a remote alpine village and meet again later, as adults. It premiered in competition at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2022.
The series ends next Tuesday, also at 7 p.m., with the presentation of the film Drive my carby Ryusuke Hamaguchi, winner of an Oscar for Best Foreign Film in 2022.
In this first edition of the program, the writer Selva Almada – author of the novel The wind that sweeps awayon which Paula Hernández’s feature film was based – and last week, the filmmaker Lucia Puenzo and the writer Sergio Bizzio, who presented XX14 years after its theatrical release. In addition, the restored version of Pink Corner Manby René Mugica, about the story of the same name by Jorge Luis Borges.
