Big surprise on this Sunday: a batch of PS5 has just arrived on the market. If you’ve ever wanted to buy Sony’s next-gen console, now is the time to go. We explain in detail how to take advantage of it.
PS5s are rare items right now. Released more than 12 months ago, they are still just as difficult to find due to the Japanese firm’s production problems. You have to manage to come across a flash sale or buy it on the secondary market (at a sometimes crazy price) to get your hands on it.
This Sunday, we have a very good surprise for PlayStation fans: PS5 stock just dropped. As always, it will be crowded and quantities can disappear in a matter of hours. Please note, this only concerns the Digital Edition version since the Standard version is out of stock. This benefits from the same characteristics as the Standard version, but it just ignores the Blu-Ray player.
To discover the PS5 in stock, it’s here:
As you can see, the official reseller of this stock PS5 is internet service provider SFR. The latter offers to combine the PlayStation with an internet box. Admittedly, it’s a little engaging, but the offer itself is attractive and relevant. At the same time, it ensures you a good fiber flow to be able to play your games with maximum fluidity.
By opting for this flash sale which combines the PS5 Digital Edition with fiber, you will be able to have the console delivered to you tomorrow. It’s the only way to get Sony’s excellent console as soon as possible. If you buy it on the secondary market, this model can quickly go to a level close to 1,000 euros. In the end, the PS5 + Box formula is very advantageous.
How is this PS5 + Box offer divided?
In the last few months, it has been very difficult to find a PS5 stock. Moreover, the few traditional merchants who had a small stock decided to combine the next-gen console with other products. This is for example the case of Cdiscount which associated the PlayStation 5 with a television via a flash sale. It was gone in a few minutes. In the end, the bill quickly exceeded 1,500 euros.
If you want to limit the price of the game console as much as possible, the SFR formula is interesting. In this case, the ISP allows you to spread the cost of the console over time and reduce the price. For the Digital Edition version, it will cost you first 49 euros and then 8 euros per month for 24 months. In total, the console will therefore have cost you 241 euros. Note that SFR also gives you a second free controller. For comparison, the PS5 Digital Edition is at the official price of 399 euros.
You therefore make a direct saving on the video game console. But in return, you will have to subscribe to the SFR Fiber Power formula at the ISP. We must not lie to ourselves: in the end, by combining the cost of the PS5 and fiber for 24 months, the real amount will be higher. That said, if you were planning on switching fiber, this is the perfect handset.
In detail, the box internet associated with the stock PS5 is the SFR Fiber Power formula. It is the most powerful of the operator’s offers. It is also what will ensure maximum throughput to offer you the best performance for your Sony video game console. In detail, it provides a download speed of up to 1 Gb/s and up to 500 Mb/s in upload.
In addition to the fiber part, this formula is called triple-play: it also gives you access to all unlimited calls to landlines and mobiles in France. As a bonus, you also have a TV decoder as well as 200 channels from the catalog. Everything is sold at a price of 34 euros per month during the first year (i.e. 10 euros more than the same formula without the PS5), then 53 euros per month beyond. To take advantage of the PS5 at a reduced price, you will have to commit to 24 months.
PS5 stocks are still scarce
Can we expect new PS5 stocks in the coming months? Sony has been very skeptical and says that its production difficulties will still last all year and until mid-2023. If you finally want to play the new PlayStation console, you will therefore have to be patient. Or else go on a flash sale like the one currently organized by SFR.
The Standard version of the PS5 is no longer in stock: only the Digital Edition version remains. What is the difference ? The latter does not have a Blu-Ray player. This means that you will not be able to buy physical game discs to insert into the console. Everything will therefore go through the PlayStation Store. This implies that you will not be able to resell your games. This also explains the price difference (100 euros) between the two models of the console.
The flash sale organized by SFR will not last long. The ISP also has a limited stock of PS5s. If you want to get your hands on the PlayStation 5, you won’t have to wait. All the conditions are available on the internet service provider’s website. Also note that it supports 100 euros in termination fees if you had any with your current telecom operator.
