A Starfield player has been tasked by Sergeant Yumi to investigate a stolen ring. He quickly found himself confused by this side quest, calling it ” stupider » of the entire game.
Starfield, Bethesda’s latest open-world game, offers players a vast universe to explore. Many players were attracted, especially since it seemed to contain elements of the classic Skyrim.
Initially, reviews were positive, but months following release, some players began to lose interest.
Moreover, a Starfield fan was particularly disappointed following completing a Sergeant Yumi quest. He ended up calling this side quest the “dumbest” in the game.

Starfield players disappointed by ‘stolen ring’ side quest
The player u/Mediocre-Cobbler5744 complained on Reddit following completing a quest he found mediocre and disappointing. He said : ” I think I just did the stupidest side quest in the game ».
He was asked to investigate a stolen ring but only had to talk to a few people at the bar before finding the ” thief » who said it was a gift. This then concluded his investigation, leaving the player both disappointed and confused.

« I spoke to a witness, I never spoke to the accuser, I never knew if the fight they had was justified, I certainly never had the opportunity to reconcile them, I’ve done almost nothing that I would call “investigation” “. I just took the guy’s word that the ring was an engagement gift,” he complains.

Other players then shared their disappointment with certain quests. One of them felt that there was a quest on Neon that was much worse than this side quest. He said : ” I present to you a Neon City side quest. This arms dealer had his robot vandalized by a Disciple. You go talk to him and he pays for the damage. There you have it, Neon in a nutshell “, he said.
But others are still angry at Bethesda for making them believe that stealth stealing ships was going to be an important part of the game. One commented: “ The stupidest side quest in the game is learning how to go into low-power stealth mode to sneak up on or sneak past ships, only to find out that it’s not a thing at all. that can be done elsewhere in the game, neither in missions nor in free mode ».
