For its 2022 batch, Samsung presented two new models of connected watches: the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. If the first model seems to be an update of the Galaxy Watch 4 released last year, the Pro version is a little more advanced. The brand has brought a bigger battery, enhanced activity tracking capabilities and a more original look. It has serious assets, especially since today it is at a better value in a pack at less than 35%.

A robust and enduring watch
Compared to the Watch 5, the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro features more premium materials. The case benefits from a titanium finish, which has an effect on the wrist. On the other hand, it is quite imposing with its 45 mm and will not necessarily appeal to users with small wrists.
It is above all more massive because of the battery it accommodates: 590 mAh. An accumulator which gives it a much better autonomy than the previous Galaxy Watch. It was also up to the task during our test and is one of the only Wear OS watches on the market to exceed two days of autonomy. Enough to leave with peace of mind for a day of hiking, especially since it boasts of having a screen twice as resistant as the previous generation.
Extensive follow-up on sport and health
Its 1.4-inch AMOLED screen allows you to consult the interface without problems even in the sun. At the interface level, WearOS is still in charge with the One UI Watch overlay. The proposed ecosystem is very complete in terms of applications and measurements.
At the level of the sensors, the 5 pro is equipped with an accelerometer and a gyroscope, to count the number of steps, a barometer to assess the altitude, a bioelectrical impedance analysis sensor, for the rate of fat mass, of a electrocardiogram and a blood pressure monitor, as well, of course, as a heart rate monitor. On the sports side, a hundred activities are offered to you, but above all, it is possible to go through other applications like Strava to export your data. However, the GPS lacks precision.

The Buds 2: successful affordable headphones
The Galaxy Buds 2 are very comfortable in-ear headphones, and will be forgotten during long listening sessions (only 6.3 grams per earbud). The Buds 2 feature active noise cancellation. Some competitors do better, but the headphones do well and manage to reduce a good part of the noise. There is also a transparency mode which can be changed through the Galaxy Wearables app. On the audio side, they have the merit of being quite precise and efficient, especially in voices or treble.
As for the case, it deploys 20 hours of use and, without ANC, it can deliver up to 29 hours of autonomy. A 38-minute charge will suffice to fully recharge the headphones and the case – handy when the headphones promise a 5-hour battery life with ANC.
