GTA Online is still an extremely game popular with over 90,000 regular players only on the platform Steam. The game is full of content updates and additions, but the latest announcement from Rockstar makes many fans of the license cringe. Explanation.
GTA Online : even more money to spend
Many have discovered or rediscovered GTA Online thanks to the excellent RP of streamers like Zerator, Antoine Daniel and other Joueur du Grenier. Present for more than 10 years now, the game has continued to grow and show more content. It gained a sudden resurgence of interest thanks to the PR communities, as seen on Gary’s Mod or Weapon III. Almost every week, a new update came to provide players with GTA Online to encourage them to stay and try more and more new activities. These updates are free as this one allowing to see Dr. Drebut soon some may require checkout, and Rockstar has just announced an alternative.
In effect, GTA Online will get a monthly subscription plan called GTA+, for the modest sum of $5.99 per month. The service will be only available to players who own the PS5 remaster and its namesake on XBox Series X. It will thus offer them a lot of advantages every month, like $500,000 in the game and access to new properties, vehicles and in-game items. All items will be available to everyone, but GTA+ members simply get them at no additional cost. GTA+ fits more like a “booster“aimed at speeding up the game rather than real exclusive content, necessary for obtaining certain objects. Rockstar had presented it as a shortcut for new players or those who don’t want to wait for the latest expensive cars.
GTA Online : too much controversy?
Many fans are furious with the announcement. Rockstar Games has made a lot of controversial moves in recent yearseven more during the year 2021. Between the botched launch of the trilogy GTAthe price of the new remaster of GTA 5 and many other frustrating decisions, players are losing patience with the developer. On Twitter, they were quick to express their anger at the new subscription service. The game has now been around for almost ten years, and Rockstar is always trying to find ways to charge even more money to players who, the numbers prove, buy this content. GTA+ is optional, but that might be the door open for further studio excesses.
Some players point to the assumption that the game developer uses GTA+ as a more global, license-extended tool GTA rather than its Online mode for the future. For example by providing exclusive early access to future updates or by blocking content entirely to others. The developer has not yet spoken on this subject, nor on the long-term plan for the service. There is a good chance that this will impact GTA VI, whose development has begun. After all, why bother releasing a new game if the one we’ve been playing for almost ten years is still profitable?
Really starting to fear that Rockstar might be looking at options to begin nerfing Cayo Perico and other ways to make loads of money due to GTA+.
What does everyone else think?
I’m really starting to worry that Rockstar is considering options to start nerfing Cayo Perico and other ways to make big bucks from GTA+.
So there are really people who paid 10 euros for a 60 FPS patch who are ready to pay a monthly subscription in addition to play GTA V and get goodies. You deserve Rockstar to run over you. pic.twitter.com/pDOBZuXQUo

GTA Online being a success is one of the worst things to ever happen to gaming.
Rockstar that I adored, makes me vomit ud83eudd22 by dint of taking us for cash cows: bring out GTA 5 on each generation without a revolution. Now this gta+.. they don’t do video games anymore, just business.. beware of backlash if their next game isn’t great
Rockstar which announces the gta + a subscription on PS5 and XSS/XSX… when the mold comes first… they will milk it until 2050 the game… https://t.co/J8PFRMCb3E
To sum up my annoyance, this is how I see GTA+:
A first step towards paid content in #GTAOnline.
Kind in an update, we end up with 5 new cars. 4 free and 1 paid with real money, and included in GTA+.
I feel it so…. https://t.co/CT9zTeuRkb
