During a press conference, producer Lee Eun-kyung explained that the title of the program had a double meaning: “The word Siren refers both to an air raid alarm and to the dangerous women of Greek mythology who lured sailors to their deaths with enchanting songs.” “It was not women, but candidates who ran to represent firefighters, police and soldiers” he added before specifying that he wanted to honor women who succeed in professions dominated by men.
