This product will lower blood sugar

A recent study published in the Journal of Nutritional Science notes that raisins are able to create control over blood sugar spikes.

Raisins contain significant amounts of fiber, polyphenols, iron, and other nutrients. The use of fructose has a positive effect on sugar levels in people with diabetes.

The researchers conducted an experiment where the participants were divided into three groups and ate certain foods for two months. The first option included white bread, the second – 69 g of raisins and 50 g of available carbohydrates, the third – 28 g of raisins and 20 g of available carbohydrates. It turned out that both dishes with raisins led to the fact that people had significantly lower blood sugar levels and insulin response compared to eating white bread.
