this new option that is coming to the market

Just like with a smartphone, it may soon be natural to unlock your bike using your fingerprint. A first model with this feature is coming to the market. A novelty that is as practical for the owner of the bike as it is a deterrent for thieves.

Hong Kong manufacturer Urtopia presents Chord, a one-of-a-kind model. It has a fingerprint reader, which unlocks the system. What deter many thieves.

Because, while there are already bicycle locks that can be unlocked using this type of fingerprint sensor, this is the first time that a bicycle manufacturer has integrated one directly into one of its models.

The Urtopia Chord also has a GPS, and a navigation system which is displayed on its small screen in the center of the handlebars. Note also the presence of indicators, in the form of light projections on the ground. The entire system is updated remotely. The dedicated mobile application allows you to select a route and even calculate the calories burned.

For the rest, it is an electric bike allowing to drive up to 25 km/h. It has a removable battery which gives it almost 120 km of autonomy. Note that the Croatian pianist Maksim Mrvica, brand ambassador, participated in the design of the Chord, which aims to be a perfect cross between art and technology, all for 2299 euros.

Thanks to these new technologies, you no longer risk having your electric bike stolen.
