A little novelty that will make people happy!
Instagram made Facebook downright cheesy and can be found on pretty much everyone’s smartphone these days. Recently, the most trending social network with TikTok has just come up with a brand new feature that may well change the lives of many users. In reality, it is mainly aimed at Internet users who have a large number of subscribers and therefore likes. We think of people who are very active on the social network but also of influencers and celebrities.
No more inbox clutter
Until now, it was possible to like a photo posted on the feed. To react to a story, you had to automatically send a DM, something that might be particularly oppressive for people who sometimes receive hundreds or even thousands of reactions to their stories. But that’s over now! To make life easier for influencers who are ultimately the ones who generate the most revenue, Instagram has decided that DMs will now be exclusively reserved for private exchanges.
“The idea here is to make sure people can express more support for each other, but also to clean up the DMs a bit,” said Adam Mosseri, the platform’s boss, on Twitter. It will therefore be possible to react to content published in stories without cluttering the inbox. ” Messaging is a key priority for us,” he added, explaining that they aimed for DMs to be exclusively reserved for private exchanges.
❤️ Private Story Likes ❤️
Starting to roll out today, you can now send some love by liking people’s stories without sending a DM.
Likes on stories are private and do not have counts. Rather, they appear as hearts next to people’s handles in your Stories view sheet. ???????? pic.twitter.com/l56Rmzgnnw
