On October 17, Elisavet Stamopoulou, last partner of Ayandas Manthopoulos, held the annual memorial service for the actor at the First Cemetery of Peania, while another was held in Larissa by his ex-wife, Stella Tsiatsou and their children.
As reported by Iakovos Mylonas, a friend and colleague of the 61-year-old actor who died of a serious stroke on October 17, 2023: “A separate memorial service was held in Larissa, where his children were found who will not be found today in the First Cemetery of Peania. Since Aias did not get a divorce from his ex-wife, there is no reason to talk about anything else. No will was left, everything he has to do with his children and wife. We may be talking about an ex-wife, but since there is no divorce, she is his wife… Elizabeth is his partner, we met her, we had no contact with his other family.”
Mrs. Stamopoulou spoke on the show “Super Katerina” and said that it was a very difficult time, stressing that his death was God’s will, while confessing that she still feels him close to her. More specifically, he said: “The people who loved him are here. A difficult time has not changed a thing. I come almost every day here, we talk, he is with me, I feel him, his energy, his protection, his love. Thus it was God’s will, thus it was done. I miss him the most because he was a sweet person and especially sweet in our own private moments. I would love to have his hand close to me, and from where it is I can feel it. I am forced to move on with my life, I have a family, I have my children to support.”
Afterwards, the ex-wife of Ayantas Manthopoulos Stella Tsiatsou contacted the show by phone and reacted to her statement that all those who loved Ayantas Manthopoulos attended the memorial service that was held.
Mrs. Tsiatsou revealed that the actor’s ex-partner did not inform her about the memorial service, while she said that since the actor passed away, his relatives should not circulate their grief on channels.
Stella Tsiatsou said: “We held a memorial service in a close family circle. His last partner did not contact him about the memorial service, nor did the children. We did what we wanted to do. Beyond that, I have nothing to comment on. From the beginning, from the moment Aias left, I was of the opinion that we will not celebrate it, there is no reason to drag our grief from channel to channel.”
