This week, Xiaomi announced the upcoming end of MIUI in favor of a new interface called HyperOS for its Android smartphones. Until now, the Chinese manufacturer had, however, been rather discreet regarding the elements of this new interface, contenting itself with asserting that this interface “has the potential to reshape the smartphone and operating system landscape ».

Since this initial announcement, we nevertheless know a little more regarding HyperOS. The site GSMArena searched the Chinese social network Weibo to discover publications from users who already have access to this update on their Xiaomi smartphones. For the moment, the only visual elements shared are still images, but they already allow you to get an idea of the interface and in particular the options offered to users.

Concretely, the interface seems particularly close to MIUI 13, especially in terms of the control panel and the shortcuts to the settings. On the home screen too, Xiaomi maintains its tradition of displaying square app icons with slightly rounded corners, and not round icons. The interface, however, seems to give pride of place to graphic elements with a lot of transparency, whether on the applications – Weather for example – or on the shortcuts panel.

An interface that seems largely customizable

Above all, HyperOS seems particularly optimized for lock screen customization, like what Apple can offer on iOS. One of the screenshots allows you to view different fields whose data can be modified – temperature, time or date – as well as the font.

For now, we still don’t know what new features, animations or customization options will be offered by HyperOS. The wait should, however, be short: Xiaomi has already announced that its new smartphone operating system will first arrive on the future Xiaomi 14. However, the smartphone will be unveiled this October , or within eleven days in China. We still don’t know when we can expect a deployment of HyperOS in France.
