Communications counts the hours to play an official match once more on the field of the Cementos Progreso stadium which was their home for a long time and which has just gone through a remodeling process.

After having tied once morest Zacapa in a duel corresponding to matchday 11 of the Clausura 2024 Tournament, the white team returns to action on Saturday, April 6 to face Deportivo Mixco.

This duel once morest the Chicharronero team will be special for both the Communications institution and its fans since they will return to the Cementos Progreso stadium, which went through a remodeling process on its grass.

It was Communications himself who shared through his official social networks some photographs of what the stadium looks likeplacing special emphasis on their court.

The moment of opening the home at the Cementos Progreso stadium will be Saturday, April 6 at 6 p.m. when Deportivo Mixco visits Comunicaciones in a match valid for matchday 14 of Clausura 2024.

Eleven days later, on April 17, Comunicaciones will return to the stadium to face the CSD Municipal as a local in the 328th edition of the National Classic.

For now Communications is in fourth position in the general table. The white team accumulates 22 points following 12 rounds, their results have been 6 wins, 4 draws and 2 losses.

Their next rival, Deportivo Mixco, is partially third in the standings. It has 23 points but has one more game compared to Comunicaciones. If the team led by coach Iván Franco Sopegno defeats the chicharroneros, the second place might even reachdepending on the result of Cobán Imperial once morest Antigua GFC on April 6.

On the other hand, the Municipal CSD must visit the Xelajú MC at the Mario Camposeco stadium in Quetzaltenango on April 6 at 8 p.m. The result of said match will be key to determining the final positions in the table since both clubs have games pending that might bring them closer to their respective objectives.

Municipal wants to be the protagonist and secure a high place in the standings, while Xelajú will want to put its bad tournament behind it and move away from the relegation zone, in addition to getting a place among the top eight. A victory at home once morest Municipal lends itself as the perfect scenario to get out of a bad streak for the superchidos.
