This is what the next iPhone should look like

We are starting to see a little more clearly regarding the design of the new iPhone. New renderings of site 9to5Mac allow us to have a general overview of the next smartphone from Apple. In particular the presence of the new Action button.

A page will turn. One of the iconic design elements of the iPhone should disappear in favor of an Action button (like on the Apple Watch Ultra). At the level of the first renderings, a good surprise compared to the photo block.

The mute button will disappear

Indeed, the iPhone 15 line should lose the switch for the squelch. This button has been present since the very first iPhone in 2007. It will therefore disappear to make way for an Action button. The idea is similar to what we already find on the Apple Watch Ultra, with the button that can be configured to perform this or that action.

It’s worth noting that only models in the Pro range will have the new Action button. Indeed, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will not be entitled to this change. They will keep the button dedicated to ring/silent mode.

We also observe that the volume buttons are always separated. It will be necessary to wait for the iPhone 16 Pro to have a unified and tactile button. It should have been ready for this year, but Apple ran into trouble if we are to believe the rumors of the hallway.

A thinner photo block

On the other hand, the photo block has slightly less imposing sensors than those displayed on previous renders. We expected a huge photo block. Small difference in size on the iPhone 15 Pro Max because the sensors stand out a little more than those of the iPhone 15 Pro. We can deduce that the larger model will have a periscope zoom.

The 9toMac site reports that CAD files are currently being used by prop designers to prepare the ground and future hulls. There is therefore a good chance that the announced design will be that of the next iPhone.
