New Alan Wake 2 concept art gives some idea of what we’ll see in the title. Sam Lake, visible face of Remedy, assures that the development “is going very well”.
This very morning I told you that Alan Wake Remastered will land on Nintendo Switch in the fall. It is great news for hybrid users who did not enjoy the original back in the day. Now I bring you things from the sequel. In a promotional video for Remedy, in which they celebrate the 12th anniversary of the release of the original, the company has shown a concept art of Alan Wake 2 to fan the flame of longing for him.
From art I extract two conclusions. The first is that it looks crazy. It has a super dark look; It seems that they are going to turn more towards survival horror than in the first installment, at least because of the setting. Second: it looks crazy. It is true that the first one came out in 360 and comparing it with this one would be extremely unfair. But it looks bad. How will it go in new generation…
Sam Lake, the company’s top representative, gave us one of lime and one of sand in the video I’m talking regarding. There he also told us that we are not going to see any of the game video this summer. That is, do not expect to see it at the Microsoft Showcase or at a Sony event or anything. However, Lake wanted to reassure fans regarding the development of the work: «Everything related to its development is on the right track. We are fully involved, we have a lot of material, and a good part of the title is already playable«.
And here came the ax: «But we have been thinking for the last two months. We’ve made the decision along with our wonderful publisher Epic Games that we won’t be showing anything big from the game this summer. Creating a polished trailer or demo takes a lot of effort, and that’s time we wouldn’t spend on development.”
For the moment we have to stick with the Alan Wake 2 concept art, guilty. We wait for something like rain in May, but it doesn’t seem like it’s coming soon.
