Melody She is one of the best-known Spanish singers of the 2000s and who gained recognition in Latin America when she was only 10 years old. Her transformation has been amazing from more than 20 years ago, when she started her career as an artist, to the present day.
Melodía Ruiz Gutiérrez, the artist’s birth name, was born in Dos Hermanas, Spain, on October 12, 1990. At the age of 10, she became known with her single ‘El baile del gorilla’, which became a international ‘boom’ as well as songs like: ‘La Macarena’, ‘Mayonesa’ and ‘Aserejé’.
Her singles were among the most listened to at the time and made her a musical star since 2001, also allowing her to tour in more than 10 countries. Her first success was ‘De pata negra’, a song that gave the title to her first record album, with which she achieved fame.
Over time, songs like ‘Muévete’ (2002), and ‘TQM’ (2003) confirmed to the music industry the phenomenon that Melody was achieving. This was also supported thanks to the stadiums and venues that she filled in countries like Chile, Argentina or Peru.
His musical career
‘Melodía’ was the album she published in 2004, the year in which Melody made the decision to move away from the artistic world with the intention of focusing more on her family and studies. She lived her youth as just another teenager, out of the spotlight and on stage.

Turned into a woman, she decided to take the direction of her career by exploring styles that were gaining strength at the time such as reggaeton and merengue.
