SOUTH Korean actress Jo Yoon-su shared her reasons for being involved in the Korean drama series The Tyrant, which will air on the Disney+ Hotstar service on August 14, 2024, including because of its interesting storyline and director Park Hoon-jung.
“I am a fan of Director Park Hoon-jung and the actors involved in this film,” said Yoon-su while attending a virtual talk show and fan meeting for the Tyrant series in the Kebayoran Baru area, South Jakarta, Friday (9/8).
He added, “When I read the script, I thought the story was interesting and agreed to be involved in it.”
In The Tyrant series, Jo Yoon-su plays Chae Ja-kyeong. Ja-kyeong is a secret agent who is asked by Director Choe (Kim Seon-ho) to steal the last sample of The Tyrant Project.
The Tyrant Project is a South Korean government plan to develop biological weapons that can enhance human abilities.
At the same time, the United States (US) demanded an immediate halt to the project and asked South Korea to hand over all samples they had.

After the project was disbanded, the biological weapon samples were supposed to be handed over to the US. However, an unknown attacker disrupted the secret handover of The Tyrant Project samples.
Things get even more complicated when everyone involved in the project has to risk their lives to defend the sample from The Tyrant Project. Will they succeed?
Furthermore, Jo Yoon-su’s colleagues admitted to being amazed by his totality as a secret agent in the series The Tyrant.

In fact, one of his colleagues, Kim Kang-woo, almost didn’t recognize Yoon-su during filming because his appearance had completely changed.
“I was filming more with Kim Seon-ho, suddenly someone who was either a woman or a man came to the filming location and looked like a bum,” Kang-woo said.
“It turns out that person is Jo Yoon-su, he is really great at acting!” he continued.
Not only that, Jo Yoon-su also had to do quite a lot of action scenes because of his role as a secret agent. However, Yoon-su was happy because he could join Director Park Hoon-jung and other talented actors.
