How does the dollar look in Cuba today? Exchange rates in the Cuban informal market and the official rate of state banks and CADECAs.
As every morning, we inform our readers about the state of the currency market on the island and the buying and selling rates of foreign currencies such as the US dollar, the euro of the European zone (EU), and the Freely Convertible Currency (MLC).
The US dollar is trading at 320 Cuban pesos on the informal market this Sunday, according to El Toque, a reference source for unofficial exchange rates in Cuba.
The euro is valued at 330 CUP, which represents a decrease of two points compared to the previous day. The MLC (virtual dollar) is bought and sold on average at 275 CUP throughout the country.
These unofficial exchange rates exclusively reflect transactions made in certain currency buying and selling groups in the country, especially on social networks. As we always remember, currency prices can vary between different locations, either with increases or decreases, depending on the sales area.

The informal market continues to offer more attractive exchange rates, although it entails a considerably higher risk for those who choose this route. Despite this, it remains the only option available to obtain foreign currency quickly.
In street transactions, for example, 100 US dollars can be exchanged for 32 thousand Cuban pesos, and if they are euros, the profit is even greater.
However, official rates, published daily on the website of the Central Bank of Cuba (BCC), reflect a very different picture: the US dollar remains at 120 Cuban pesos per unit, while the euro is quoted at around 134 Cuban pesos.
