Although we had already seen images, now we have a glimpse of the new Xbox UI in video, which gives us a more complete and general look at what would be a very early version of the tests that Xbox will be doing to create its new user interface for Xbox consoles. And yes, the fans are not very happy, because apparently they have not opted for a more minimalist design that is committed to reducing the number of available icons.
What has been warned regarding this new interface is that it is only one of the first tests and that it will definitely not be the final design. In a blog post on Xbox Wire, Ivy Krislov, senior product manager for Xbox Experiences, announced that a random group of Xbox Insiders will have access to the ongoing update this week. Some of the major updates to this pretest include a new row of “Skip Back” which will allow gamers to quickly access their most recent games and appscurated categories and recommendations for suggested games, and new dedicated tile layouts for key system apps like Settings, Store, and Search.
