“This is the most important civic act in Venezuela” said Machado after voting

And it could not be otherwise, given that the leader of the Venezuelan opposition arrived after 2 pm to exercise her right to vote in the framework of the presidential elections that are being held in the country this Sunday, July 28.

The national coordinator of Vente Venezuela made her way through a large crowd awaiting her arrival, all amid a large security presence, in addition to the presence of various national and international media.

Before exercising her right to vote, Machado went to the authorities of the electoral center, all to request the necessary permission for the entry of her campaign team, however this was not possible, since members of the Plan República did not allow it, except for her entry alone.

“What we are witnessing is the most important civic act in the contemporary history of Venezuela. Venezuelans have come out in a massive, organized manner, in families.ilia”were some of the statements he made to the press.

He said he has information that many people in the interior of the country began going to their polling stations on Saturday night.

“This has never been seen before in the history of Venezuela. The centers are full of people. I was out this morning, in all the centers of the country, what we are seeing is an overwhelming participation, and I feel very proud to be Venezuelan,” she said.

He did not hesitate to say that after 1 pm his campaign team had a turnout of 42.1%, which translates to around 9 million voters. “This is huge. If this continues like this, it will be a historic turnout,” he added.

He explained that there are “spectacular” cases, such as in the municipality of Seboruco in the state of Táchira, which has had a participation of 61%, while “Yaracuy had 48% by 1 pm, Mérida 47.5% and Delta Amacuro has also had a high participation.”

Machado also detailed some of the incidents that have occurred throughout the country. “During our monitoring, there were 1,300 tables where there were some problems for our witnesses to enter. At this time, there are still 13 tables with problems,” he indicated, after also reporting that only 18 tables in all of Venezuela out of more than 30,000 could not be installed.
