LG has presented its new portable screen LG StanbyME Go, a 27-inch touch screen integrated into a briefcase, which can be placed in different positions and that works with a built-in battery to be used anywhere, thus enabling various functions, from viewing a movie to play music or play games.

The Korean technology company defines this device as a multipurpose screen that, thanks to its different design options, can be used to watch movies anywhere, play music, play games, or simply display information in panel mode.

LG has developed StanbyME Go as a device with a 27-inch touch panel and a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels (FHD), which is embedded in a rugged case, with a built-in battery and speakers.

The design of LG StanbyME Go allows it to be used anywhere, since it is integrated into a briefcase, it is easy to transport and remains protected. Likewise, it highlights the possibility of placing the screen in different positions, allowing it to be used for various activities.

In this sense, as the company explains on its website, LG StanbyME Go has three screen modes. On the one hand, the landscape mode, in which the screen is positioned horizontally to be able to view content such as videos or movies, just as it would be seen on television.

On the other hand, the portrait mode, in which the screen is positioned vertically to view information, browse social networks and web pages or other types of applications, as is done on a ‘smartphone’. Finally, the table mode, in which the screen is protected in the briefcase in a flat and horizontal way, and makes it possible to play games or as a music player.

In addition to all this, the screen moves flexibly to adapt to the use that you want to give. To do this, it allows a 90º rotation in a clockwise direction, as well as a 90º inclination. It also reaches a height of 180mm in landscape mode.

Being a touch screen, users can play various games like chess, cards and the like in tabletop mode. Likewise, it allows you to play music with an interface that simulates a record player with different designs, and has a ‘healing’ theme, which offers eight different content modes to “bring peace of mind” to the environment without the need for a connection. These themes vary showing a chimney, the sky or the leaves of a tree.

The LG StanbyME Go can be used wirelessly with a range of up to 3 hours thanks to its built-in battery. Among other features, LG emphasizes its high display quality with Dolby Vision and, likewise, the “surround three-dimensional” sound quality with Dolby Atmos, in its 20W speakers.

The operating system that incorporates this screen is WebOS. However, it allows you to share all kinds of content thanks to its compatibility with WiFi, Bluetooth, HDMI and USB connections. It also enables screen sharing from the mobile and includes the integrated OTT service under subscription. Likewise, the device can also be controlled through the LG ThinQ application.

This product will go on sale next Wednesday, June 7 for users in South Korea, however, it is unknown if it will reach the European market in the future.
