THE collection of body parts in plastic bags after an Israeli warplane strike on a school that had been sheltering displaced people in Gaza highlights the extreme levels of violence and brutality faced by Palestinians.
As reported by Anadolu, Monday (12/8), at least 100 Palestinians were killed early Saturday (10/8), when the Israeli military bombed the Al-Taba’een school in the Al-Daraj neighborhood in eastern Gaza City.
Witnesses reported that the attack occurred as people were gathered in the school yard for morning prayers.
Journalists and health and civil defense teams working in the area struggled to describe the disaster amid scattered bodies, some of them burned.
Videos shared on social media showed flames billowing from the school after the attack, as screams could be heard.
The attack came shortly after calls from mediators Egypt, Qatar and the US for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. (I-2)
