My Initiation Grant is financial aid from Mexico City’s government (CDMX) for children, as part of the Welfare Program. The first payment for My Initiation Grant began January 1st, 2022; this program’s disbursements occur on the first of each month.
However, due to the holiday, the payment may appear later. Remember that December’s payment was issued to the new Educational Well-being card.

Advantages of My Initiation Grant
This program primarily assists recipients with educational costs, such as school supplies and uniforms. It also includes accident insurance and access to cultural and athletic activities.
Should an accident occur on school grounds, or during travel to and from school, the beneficiary can utilize the accident insurance, which offers emergency medical services.
Current funding levels for My Initiation Grant recipients are:
- 300 pesos for preschool
- 330 pesos for primary and secondary pupils
- 4
- In Multiple Attention Centers (CAM)

What actions should I take if my card is lost or stolen?
Here’s how to regain access to your funds from the My Scholarship to Get Started program:
- Access the “My Scholarship to Begin” application.
- Choose the “report theft or loss” function.
- Provide details regarding the loss or theft.
- The system will immediately deactivate your old card and issue a virtual replacement.
- Any remaining funds on your previous card will be transferred to your new digital card.
Regularly monitor your application and check your available balance.
