This is the city that Elon Musk will build only for his Tesla and SpaceX employees

Elon Musk prepares to build his own city in the United States. According to The Wall Street Journal, the tycoon has already bought 1,416 hectares in Texas to house his employees of Tesla, SpaceX y The Boring Company.

The American newspaper details that the city will be called ‘Snailbrook’, which is located on the outskirts of Austin, near the facilities of Musk’s companies. The objective? Reduce the time it takes them to travel to the main headquarters of some of the firms led by the billionaire.

This new residence, far from being a small community, is four times larger than Central Park in New York, so it will be able to accommodate hundreds of workers.

This new metropolis will even have rental housing, sports equipment and a swimming pool, allowing its employees to carry out their workdays and live in the same place. Sources close to the project assure that it would be a “kind of utopia of Texas along the Colorado River”.

The houses would have two or three bedrooms, at a price of $800 a month, in an area where rents reach $2,200 a month, according to the WSJ.

However, in the event of dismissal, employees will have to leave the home in a period of 30 days. Elon Musk would also have his own residence in the community.

Biden proposes new tax for the ‘megaricos’ of the US

President Joe Biden is considering proposing a series of new tax increases for billionaires, wealthy investors and corporations in his latest proposal on how Congress should prioritize taxes and spending.

Biden’s proposal would require the Richest 0.01 percent of Americans pay at least a 25 percent tax rate.

It would also increase the top tax rate for Americans who earn 400 thousand dollars from 37 to 39.6 percent, reversing one of Trump’s tax cuts, though the tax rates for those earning less than that amount will remain intact.

In addition, it requires investors who earn at least $1 million to pay that 39.6 percent on their long-term investments, which are currently taxed at a rate of 20 percent.
