After the approval of the constitutional amendment, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif addressed the National Assembly and said that today is a historic day, Alhamdulillah, it is not only an amendment but an example of consensus and unity.

The Prime Minister said that earlier the governments were sent home, the country lost billions, millions of people are yearning for justice, justice will be easier with this amendment.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that the Charter of Democracy was signed in London in 2006. The Charter of Democracy was signed by Nawaz Sharif and Benazir Bhutto. The Charter of Democracy was also signed by Maulana Fazlur Rehman.

The prime minister further said that today the government, coalition parties, JUI and independent members voted, today it was decided that the parliament is supreme, various accusations were made against us but it is not time to answer them.

The Prime Minister said that there have been good and great judges in the history of the country, there was one in Panama which ended, then the sentence was imposed on Iqama.

He said that today the unfulfilled dream of democracy has come to an end, what happened in the past, no prime minister can be sent home now.

The Prime Minister said that Bilawal Bhutto worked immensely with sincerity, I also thank Maulana Fazlur Rehman from the bottom of my heart, Maulana played an important role after his displeasure and strong arguments, I wish PTI had also joined it. So it would be great, the country got the message that the parties in the house sacrificed their personal interest for the country. All parties went ahead and passed the 26th Amendment, which would mark a milestone in the history of Pakistan.
