The waters around Windows are in constant motion. Microsoft’s operating system for PCs, laptops and tablets is preparing to receive some interesting
news. We have already seen part of it with the update called Moment 3 which is on the way. But it doesn’t stop there, as Microsoft has given us a preview of what Windows Copilot will be capable of. Windows Copilot is essentially the artificial intelligence services that we will see in Windows 11 and which will be available to everyone. Over the past few hours, Panos Panay, the head of the Windows and Surface division, showed an interesting insight into one of Copilot’s features. This consists of the possibility of automatically launching the transcription of any audio file present on the PC. The example shows how this function can be launched by dragging the audio recording into the Copilot window. The AI-powered engine will transcribe and, if necessary, translate audio content into text.
Later, it will also be possible to share the audio file or the text file generated by the transcription. This is definitely a feature that would make life easier for many Windows users, especially those who have to deal with lots of long audio files or those who find themselves working with unfamiliar languages. In addition to that, Windows Copilot will also be able to quickly stream any kind of content from your PC to other devices. In this way, broadcasting on Windows will take on a whole new flavor, becoming within everyone’s reach. Microsoft has not yet indicated when Windows Copilot will actually arrive. Rumors indicate that a first release should take place in June.
