After the heavy rains that collapsed Trunk 10, the Governor of Bolívar State, Ángel Marcano, together with the Minister for Public Works, G/D Raúl Paredes, made a tour to inspect the conditions of the road and give concrete answers.
During the visit to the road artery, which connects the country with the south of Bolívar state, they saw the critical and high points, where the work fronts will begin, which will be deployed from Upata in the Piar municipality, to Santa Elena de Uairén in Gran Sheet.
“Here is a responsible government showing its face, inspecting Trunk 10 to find a solution, we are going to carry out a technical survey and we will place 6 work fronts, to attack the Upata-Guasipati, Guasipati-Tumeremo, Tumeremo-El Dorado, El Dorado-Km 88, Km 88-Santa Elena de Uairén”, said the regional president.
Marcano announced that they will be attended in perfect coordination with the national, regional and municipal governments, among other state institutions, such as the Venezuelan Mining Corporation (CVM), the Ministry of Ecological Mining Development, Transportation and the Bolivarian National Armed Forces.
“This is a joint coordination with our mayors from the south, here we are working as the great team that we are, the mayor of Sifontes, Vicente Rojas; Manuel de Jesús Vallez, mayor of Gran Sabana; Wuilhem Torrellas, mayor of Roscio and the mayor of Piar, Yulisbeth García”, he pointed out.
“This is the window of entry to our homeland from Brazil and we are going to put it in good condition, to boost the economy and development of Bolívar and the country,” explained Marcano.
For his part, Minister Paredes commented that President Nicolás Maduro gave precise orders regarding this project. “And here we are with the Governor, meeting with the mayors, and the CVM, to move forward together and achieve the objectives, which is to leave trunk line 10 in optimal conditions,” he said.
He commented that there are more than 800 men and women who will be deployed in this project, machinery and technical personnel, who will have the task of carrying out the recovery of trunk 10.
Work table
A work table was held with all those involved, in order to create the teams, deploy functions and from next Monday, sanitation, cleaning, and weeding of the sides of the road will begin. Subsequently, they will continue with the adaptations for the asphalting of the trunk.
During the inspection, Governor Ángel Marcano gave the good news that a completely new asphalt plant will be installed in the next few days to speed up the process of comprehensive recovery of trunk line 10, which will then remain to continue maintenance, not only of the Troncal, but also of interurban roads.
He said that they will have the Upata plant in Piar, which is already in operation and producing asphalt.
