Eduardo used textiles made with the pre-Columbian technique known as “chivas” and with the foot loom and the waist loom, as well as wool, velvet, silk and recycled canvas, as a way of highlighting sustainability and the incorporation of millennial artisan processes that must be preserved.

In addition to parading on the most viewed catwalk globally, the Guatemalan’s work was displayed in luminaries in Manhattan.

“One of the most incredible experiences of my career, seeing the collection on screen in Times Square during New York Fashion Week is something that excites me, not just because it’s my job, but because it’s a recognition of all the work at team representing Guatemala through fashion. Everything has been possible thanks to the team that has believed in me, in our proposal, and what we can achieve together to bring Guatemala to the world,” he wrote in one of his posts.
