This is how the closing of Gustavo Petro’s campaign was experienced in the Plaza de Bolívar in Bogotá | Presidential

The
Gustavo Petro candidate
carried out its closing campaign in Bogotá in Plaza Simón Bolívar together with thousands of supporters who listened to him for several minutes.

The event was attended by several senators, councilors, social and environmental leaders of the country, who showed their affinity with the leader of the Historical Pact.

In the middle of his speech, Petro referred to the
dismissal of Mayor Daniel Quintero
by the Attorney General’s Office.

“Here the one who thinks differently from the president, is dismissed as happened to the mayor of Medellin”, Peter said.

“The question is, why don’t they accept this pact? Why did they kick out the mayor of Medellin? Why do they make the general speak regarding politics? Why do they let the Clan del Golfo take over half of Colombia? Why do they let a prosecutor threaten next Sunday’s elections?” he insisted.

In turn, he spoke of proposals if he manages to reach the Casa de Nariño as president of the Colombians on May 29 in the first round.

“If I am president of Colombia, I will ask the United Nations to set up an independent investigation commission of the main acts of corruption and I will request that former magistrate Iván Velásquez direct it,” Petro pointed out.

“That is not saying that the corrupt are beaten with a whipthe corrupt are not interested in the whip (…) This is taking them to jail”, he added.

In addition to this, Petro also spoke of the Prosecutor’s Office by Francisco Barbosa, without mentioning it, but with hints.

“The Prosecutor’s Office here does not investigate the most serious acts of corruption in the country. said the candidate of the Historical Pact who was also accompanied by Francia Márquez.
