This is how Markitos Toys, a youtuber linked to Los Chapitos, showed off a photo with Briggitte Bozzo

La Casa de los Famosos México: A Tale of Glam and Gangsters

What happens when influencers pose with potential cartel associates? Buckle up, folks!

It’s no shocker that La Casa de los Famosos México is still buzzing, long after its curtains have closed. But guess what? The drama doesn’t end with the finale—no, my friends, it takes on a life of its own! Particularly when images surface of Mario Bezares and Karime posing with the notorious influencer, Markitos Toys (real name: Marcos Eduardo Castro Cárdenas). Clutch your pearls—this is where things get spicy!

The Picture That Shook the Social Media World

This past October 15, photos of Markitos and a certain Venezuelan actress/model surfaced. You know, just your average day: a cute snap with an influencer dressed in a black hoodie and cap, standing next to a woman in ripped jeans and a teddy jacket. But here’s where it gets a bit… sticky.

In the post shared on Instagram, Markitos captioned it “With a famous young woman” alongside a cheeky Mexican flag emoji. How adorable, right? Just two pals embracing the influencer lifestyle! Except, this is Markitos we’re talking about—an influencer who’s been linked to the infamous Sinaloa Cartel. Talk about mixing business with pleasure!

Who Is Markitos Toys, Really?

If you’re wondering who this “famous young woman” is hanging out with, let’s dig a little deeper. Markitos isn’t just a typical content creator; he boasts a staggering following of over 4 million on YouTube and Instagram, making him quite the social media giant. But beware—he’s not your friendly neighborhood influencer. His associates, namely the Los Chapitos faction of the Sinaloa Cartel, may cause you to think twice before asking for a selfie!

Breaking Down the Ties

If you thought hugging it out was the end of it—think again! Just weeks ago, Markitos sobbed on camera over the arrest of a close friend linked to the cartel. His reasoning? “Don’t you have friends?” he proceeded to defend their relationship while touting a very “non-criminal” connection. Ah, come now, who would ever question the innocence of a sobbing influencer?

Yet, despite his tearful defenses, there’s mounting speculation about his deeper ties within the cartel’s violent underbelly. From financial operations to rumored connections with notorious figures, it’s hard not to raise an eyebrow and question: Is Markitos Toys playing dress-up, or does he have a role in this deadly game?

The Broader Implications

The digital age, coupled with the chaos of organized crime, makes for a fascinating—and terrifying—slice of reality. With pamphlets circulating in Sinaloa, denouncing Markitos as “El Llorón” (the Crybaby)—a not-so-cheeky jab at his previous emotional display—one can’t help but wonder how many more like him are operating under the glamorous guise of social media fame.

In Conclusion: Fame at What Cost?

As the saga of La Casa de los Famosos continues to captivate audiences, the intertwining of influencer culture and cartel connections highlights a precarious truth. Markitos Toys may smile in photographs, but behind that influencer facade lurks a world of drama and crime. One can only expect a cliffhanger that neither Netflix nor any reality show could dare script!

So, dear readers, the next time you see an influencer basking in the limelight, ask yourself: what secrets might lie beneath that shiny surface?

Despite having concluded some time ago, the second season of La Casa de los Famosos México continues to generate a great impact on its audience. Team Mar, made up of the winner Mario Bezares, together with Karime

It was precisely this Tuesday, October 15, that a photograph of the actress and model of Venezuelan origin was revealed posing with a peculiar character: Markitos Toys, whose real name is Marcos Eduardo Castro Cárdenas, a popular influencer who has more than 4 million followers, both on his YouTube channel and on his Instagram account, respectively.

The photograph, shared by the 26-year-old in a story on his Instagram account, shows the two influencers posing together on the street. In the image, the content creator is seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a cap of the same color; while Briggitte wears a white top, ripped jeans adorned with chains, and a brown teddy jacket hanging from her shoulders. They are both smiling slightly at the camera. The image is accompanied by a text that says “With a famous young woman,” as well as an emoji of the Mexican flag and a label from the actress’s account.

Although the image could be similar to that of many fans who have been photographed with the famous woman, Markitos Toys is not just any influencer. This is a man who has been linked to the Sinaloa Cartel, specifically with the Los Chapitos faction, led by the children of Joaquín El Chapo Guzmán.

Markitos Toys and paper with Los Chapitos

On November 22, 2023, the name of Markitos Toys became a trend on social networks after he uploaded a video breaking down in tears over the arrest of his friend Néstor Isidro Pérez Salas, alias El Nini, who was then the head of security from Los Chapitos.

In the stories, Markitos Toys defended their friendship, stating that he was not ashamed to show himself crying and that his relationship with this person had nothing to do with the illicit activities with which he was associated.

“Don’t you have friends? You don’t decide what a friend does, it’s just that your own parents don’t decide. Friendship is very independent of anything. I’m not ashamed to upload something crying, you already know where I live, where to find me, I don’t owe anything to anyone […] If it is a crime that he was your friend, then I will pay for it, it doesn’t matter. He was a great friend of mine, still is […] If one day you see this story, friend, I miss you,” he said at the time.

On the same day as the arrest of the lieutenant of Los Menores, as the sons of El Chapo Guzmán are also known, there was a second operation in which Kevin Daniel “N” was arrested, also linked to the Sinaloa Cartel and who was speculated It would be the influencer’s cousin.

This is in addition to the adn40 report revealed a few months ago, which spoke of three alleged financial operators at the service of Los Chapitos―currently led by Iván Archivaldo and Jesús Alfredo Guzmán Salazar―, where Kevin “N”, Jesús was identified “N” and Marcos Eduardo “N”.

Although so far government authorities have not officially confirmed the link between the criminal group and Markitos Toys, speculation about the role it would play for this faction has gained more strength as a result of the war unleashed on September 9 against the La Mayiza faction. , after Joaquín Guzmán López’s betrayal of Ismael Zambada García, which led to the capture of the veteran capo in the United States on July 25.

A month ago, in her podcast Narcosistema, journalist Anabel Hernández confirmed that Markitos Toys is a character close to the heirs of Guzmán Loera.

“Two other characters, not so relevant, secondary, but who are undoubtedly relevant for their violence and for being leaders of hitmen, is a guy named Marcos Eduardo, alias Markitos Toys, and another guy called Mario Alberto Castro Cárdenas, alias El Castor . “These two are drug traffickers, from the wing of Los Chapitos, one of the main young people, very young, fentanyl drug traffickers, they will provide a lot of money and weapons for these armies of Los Chapitos in their war against the Zambadas,” said the author of the book. “The Narco Lords.”

In the midst of the wave of violence due to this war unleashed in Sinaloa, various audios allegedly related to “La Chapiza” have been leaked. One of these recordings referred to content creator Markitos Toys, who had allegedly been the victim of an attack.

“It is negative that they caught Markitos Toys, that Los Mayos “raised” it, lies. Last night we burst there and we took the person in charge of them away from the weapons,” was part of the audio revealed. Hours later, the influencer shared a publication in which he assured that he was fine and that none of his homes had been affected: “Everything that is circulating is false,” he wrote.

Added to this is the peculiar event that occurred two weeks ago in several municipalities of Sinaloa, when several small planes dropped various brochures in Culiacán, Los Mochis and Mazatlán displaying the names and faces of various characters linked to Los Chapitos.

On the flyers, allegedly thrown by La Mayiza, 19 names were visible, among them that of Markitos Toys, who appeared under the alias “El Llorón”, possibly as a mockery of the video in which he shed tears for El Nini.

The pamphlets denounced the “Los Sapitos Cartel,” who were held responsible for crimes such as collection of fees from real estate businessmen, theft of vehicles from citizens, collection of irrigation canals, extortion of cargo trucks, and sale of cigarettes. and vapers, among others, so they asked citizens to report them, adding numbers from the Armed Forces.

Even a violent video that circulated on social networks reinforces the theory of the YouTuber’s relationship with the cartel. In the clip, you can see young people tied up and half-naked surrounded by a group of hitmen who ask them to shout in the name of Markitos Toys while they are tortured.

The influencer has also been questioned on multiple occasions for his ostentatious lifestyle, which is incompatible with his role as a YouTuber when compared to that of other celebrities. He likes to show off his various high-end vehicles, his million-dollar homes and excesses through his social networks, which has generated suspicions that his fortune is legitimate.
