Canadian singer Justin Bieber and his wife, model and businesswoman Hailey Bieber, announced the birth of their first child, Jack Blues Bieber. The news was shared by the 30-year-old artist through his Instagram account on Friday, August 23, where he posted a picture of the newborn’s foot with the caption “WELCOME HOME JACK BLUES BIEBER.”

Hailey, 27, reposted the image on her social media stories, confirming the baby’s name and adding emojis of a teddy bear and a blue heart.

The couple had confirmed they were expecting their first child in May 2024, when a rep for Hailey told People magazine that she was more than six months pregnant.

Justin’s mother Pattie Mallette, 49, expressed her excitement over the arrival of her first grandchild on social media. Taking to her Instagram stories, she shared the picture posted by her son, writing: “Oh my heart. Welcome baby Jack I love you so much!” She also added: “Thank the lord, a miracle!”

Justin’s father, Jeremy Bieber, 49, also reacted to the news on X with a brief message that read “Dad,” seemingly referencing his son’s new status as a father.

Justin Bieber is Pattie Mallette’s only child, so Jack’s birth marks her first experience as a grandmother. The singer also has three half-sisters and a half-brother on his father Jeremy’s side.

The name “Jack” appears to have personal significance for the couple, as it is the middle name of Justin’s father, Jeremy Bieber.

Jeremy separated from Justin’s mother, Pattie, shortly after his birth in Ontario, Canada, when they were both 18. Although the artist had little contact with his father during his childhood, the two reconnected and have been spending more time together since he became an adult, strengthening their father-son relationship.

Hailey’s father, Stephen Baldwin, shared Mallette’s post on X, adding: “Amen, congratulations to you all and may God continue to bless our family.”

Several celebrities, including Tori Kelly, Ice Spice, The Kid LAROI, Tems, Coi Leray and Chance the Rapper, sent their well wishes and left comments on Justin’s post.

Pattie Mallette has been a constant figure of support for both of them during their journey to parenthood. In June, a month after announcing the pregnancy, she shared an emotional message dedicated to her son on Father’s Day.

In an Instagram post that included several photos of Justin and Hailey, Mallette wrote: “Happy Father’s Day Justin. You’ve always wanted to be a dad for as long as I can remember. You have so much love to give. You’re going to be the best dad ever. You already are. I LOVE YOU!”
