The Englishman is not in Maresca’s plans and the club has taken a double decision: it does not allow him to train with the team and has stripped him of his number.

Raheem Sterling (29) is one of the protagonists of this last week of the transfer market. The former English international is completely sidelined in a Chelsea who is desperately looking for a way out. But the footballer is not going to make things easy at Stamford Bridge: he wants to leave on good terms and is even willing to spend a season without playing in London in order to get the best for his interests.
The former England international and Ben Chilwell are the two players that the blue club want to sell and for which they believe they can make a good profit. Enzo Maresca already said: “He (Sterling) will not have a single minute here.” And that is what is happening. In fact, he was not even called up for the match of the first day of the Premier League against Manchester City.

In this context, according to ‘The Telegraph’ the club has decided to take a double decision that directly affects the player: firstly, he has been excluded from the team (he trains with the reserve team) and, secondly, he has been stripped of the number ‘7’. The number ‘7’ has been taken by the new signing from Wolverhampton, the Portuguese Pedro Neto.
