Welcome to the Circus of Love!
Ah, Married at First Sight, the show that proves love at first sight is about as realistic as finding a parking space in central London during rush hour! The second season of the series graces our screens on TV2 starting November 18, and boy, do we have a character to talk about!
Meet Szabolcs: The Love-Hungry Businessman
Let me introduce you to Szabolcs Szolnok. Now, this chap has seen more ups and downs than a rollercoaster at Alton Towers. He’s been married for a whopping 26 years — which is longer than most people’s lifetimes these days! But alas, love was not meant to be his best mate. Instead, he’s turned into quite the jet setter, shuttling between England and Hungary like a contestant on a romantic version of The Amazing Race.
Wouldn’t you know it? His hustle is paying off! Szabolcs went from a humble greengrocer to living in luxurious conditions. Now that’s a glow-up worthy of a reality TV special! Although, one has to wonder: Was his love life filled with more drama than a Thai soap opera? Spoiler alert: Probably!
The Early Days of ‘Banana Boy’
Szabolcs reminisces about his days at university, where he left his education behind at the tender age of 21. Instead of hitting the books, he decided to hit the markets — literally! He opened his veggie stand at Nagybani market and was famously dubbed ‘Banana Boy’. Oh, the irony! From ‘banana boy’ to diamond dealer — sounds like the kind of plot twist you’d see in a movie starring Matthew McConaughey. Well, alright, alright, alright!
From Veggies to Diamonds: The Glamourous Business Path
As fate would have it, our dear Szabolcs soon discovered his flair for business. He started off selling drilling machines from Germany. Talk about taking matters into your own hands! From there, he leaped into the world of car trading. Talk about a drive for success! And now, he’s running a logistics company in London and dealing with frozen food like some sort of culinary superhero! I keep expecting him to pop out of the fridge like an avenger of gastronomy.
But wait, there’s more! Like a bizarre infomercial, he’s thrown the diamond business into the mix. Yes, you heard that right. He’s dabbling with laboratory-created diamonds! Now, if his love life had any ‘grown diamonds’, perhaps it wouldn’t have fizzled out like soda left uncapped too long.
The Good Investment
“These machine-produced diamonds are the future,” Szabolcs claims! Isn’t that just a tad poetic? While he’s grappling with love like a contestant on Married at First Sight, he’s also promising lucrative investments. Who knows? Perhaps he’ll find that special someone in the diamond district instead of the dating scene. Love is timeless, but diamonds… well, they’re forever, right?
Conclusion: A Reality Show to Remember
So, as Married at First Sight sparks back to life, we can’t help but wonder how Szabolcs will navigate this new venture. Will his entrepreneurial spirit find him love, or will he simply pour more of his heart into the next business deal? Tune in and brace yourselves for drama, laughter, and maybe a few insightful moments about the human heart — just don’t forget your popcorn!
On November 18, the second season of the show Married at First Sight will start on TV2. Although one of the characters, Szabolcs Szolnok, had been married before, and moreover for a very long time – 26 years -, love did not work out in the end. The man is currently working a lot, commuting between England and Hungary, but it is true that his hard work is paying off, as he lives in luxurious conditions. But this was not always the case; the love-hungry businessman began his career as a greengrocer.
“I left university when I was 21, because instead of studying, I wanted to build a career and have an independent existence as soon as possible. I opened a vegetable stand in Nagybani market, where I was only referred to as ‘banana boy'” – revealed the story.huand then added: he quickly realized that he had good business sense.
He got a feel for the business
“I brought drilling machines from Germany, which I sold here, and then I traded cars. I currently run a logistics company in London, I deal with frozen food, and recently I also got a taste of the diamond business. I sell laboratory-produced, i.e. machine-produced, so-called grown diamonds, which promises to be a very good investment” – he said.
