The national team led by coach Marvin Cabrera met their rivals on April 11 in the Under 20 World Cup that will take place in the cities of Celaya and Irapuato at the Guanajuato stadium, Mexico.
Guatemala, paired with Mexico, Panama and Haiti in Group C, will seek to qualify for its third Under 20 World Cup following having been present in the Argentina 2023 edition where it fell in the group stage.
After the draw it is now possible to know the order in which the bicolor will face its rivals since Concacaf previously shared the dates on which the phases of the tournament would be played.
The headquarters of Guatemala’s matches in the group stage will be in the city of Irapuato. All games will be played in the Sergio León Chávez Stadium.
The order of the Guatemala matches will be like this:
- Panama vs Guatemala, Sunday, July 21
- Guatemala vs Mexico, Wednesday, July 24
- Guatemala vs Haiti, Saturday, July 27
If the national team manages to finish first or second in group C (they might even advance as one of the best third parties), they will advance to the quarterfinals that will be played between July 30 and 31.
The semi-finals will take place on August 2 and the final will be held on Sunday the 4th of the same month. These last two phases will be played in the Miguel Alemán Valdés Stadium, in Celaya.
