jpnn.comMEDAN – AK (38), a resident of Negri Lama Village, Labuhanbatu District, a crystal methamphetamine-type narcotics dealer, faces 20 years in prison.
The perpetrator was arrested by the Labuhanbatu Police Narcotics Unit Satres, Friday (03/03) at around 10.15 WIB.
“The perpetrator violated Article 114 Paragraph (1) Subs Article 112 Paragraph (1) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, with a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison,” said Labuhanbatu Police Chief AKBP James H Hutajulu, Friday.
At that time, personnel received information from the public that in Kampung Padang Village, Pangkatan District, Labuhan Batu Regency, to be precise, the community’s oil palm plantations were often used as a place for transactions of methamphetamine-type narcotics.
“Furthermore, the Opsnal Team conducted an investigation and raided the crime scene and arrested an adult male, AK,” he said.
The police chief said that during the raid, officers seized evidence in the form of two small transparent plastic clip packs containing crystal grains suspected of methamphetamine, one small empty plastic packet.
“Then, 1 box of black Dunhill cigarettes, Rp. 300,000 in cash, a black Nokia brand flashlight cellphone, a green Kawasaki KLX BF 150 motorcycle without a police number,” he said.
James added that the Opsnal Team conducted interrogation of AK, admitted that the evidence really belonged to him and was obtained from H who lives in Negeri Lama Village, Bilah Hilir District, Labuhanbatu Regency.
