If the Fiat 500e is a hit with its multiple variations (sedan, convertible or 3+1 sedan), the Italian firm is trying to renew the coup of neo-retro design. A former star of the brand is back on the market: the Fiat 600. Unsurprisingly, and like the little 500, the new versatile city car is available in a 100% electric version.

The new Fiat 600e marks the return of the Turin firm to the B segment. This is the segment comprising versatile city cars, in other words city cars offering enough space to comfortably accommodate four passengers for a weekend trip. Among the electric models currently on sale in the B segment, you will find the Peugeot e-208, Renault Zoé or the DS3 Crossback e-Tense.

New Fiat 600e: a spacious city car

If the B segment includes large city cars, the Fiat 600 is one of the most spacious. Its body is no less than 4.17 meters long. Its trunk offers a volume of 360 litres. However, it is not an elongated version of the small Fiat 500. The 600e is inspired by its ancestor launched in 1955 in Italy. If the model was produced until the 1980s in Yugoslavia, the style could only evolve in more than 30 years of career. The new generation Fiat 600e adopts a silhouette reminiscent of its ancestor, but it is indeed a modern car integrating all the latest technologies of the 21st century. It has exterior LED lighting and 18″ alloy wheels.

Up to 400 km of autonomy for the electric Fiat 600

With a 54 kWh battery and 100 kW fast charging, the new Italian city car looks promising. Its autonomy is announced at more than 400 kilometers in the WLTP combined cycle and even more than 600 kilometers in the urban cycle. It takes advantage of its affiliation with the Stellantis automotive group to equip itself with the new electric motor developing a power of 156 horsepower (115 kW). With such power, the new 600e reaches 100 km/h in just nine seconds. Already available to order in a top-of-the-range version, La Prima and (RED), the entry-level version will be available at the start of the next school year. In 2024, Fiat will also offer a hybrid version of its new 600.
