This Dog Fun Walk Event Breaks MURI Record (Doc. Rocco Dog)

BRAND Rocco Dog Indonesia broke the Indonesian World Record Museum (MURI) record for the fun walk or healthy walk with beloved dogs with the most participants.

The event titled “Rocco’s Bark Day Fun Run” which was held at Senayan Park (SPARK), Jakarta, Sunday, was attended by more than 640 animal lovers with their beloved dogs.

“This is the first time in Indonesia, a fun walk with beloved dogs with the largest number of participants. From the verification results, it was recorded that no less than 643 pairs of owners and their pets participated in this event,” said the representative of the MURI Team, Triyono, Monday (12/8).

Rocco held this event to celebrate its 2nd anniversary, as well as to improve the welfare of dogs in Indonesia.

A portion of the proceeds from this event have been donated to the Indonesian Animal Protection Coalition and the Jakarta Animal Aid Network in the form of Rocco dog food products.

By collaborating with the Jaan Domestic Indonesia Foundation and Dog Meat Free Indonesia, Rocco has become a forum for animal lovers who want to contribute to improving animal welfare through the “Anti-Butchery, Let’s Protect Dog Welfare” campaign.

As of today, more than 2,800 people have signed a petition titled “Reject Dog Slaughter, Start Protecting and Caring for Dog Welfare in Indonesia”.

Every signature will not only be channeled as support for stray dogs, but also as encouragement for the formation of government regulations to stop the dog meat trade.

In addition to the fun walk, this event was also enlivened by educational activities, such as talk shows and dog health examination and consultation services.

Rocco hopes that this event can provide an unforgettable moment for dog lovers. “This event is not only about celebrating Rocco’s birthday, but also about providing a real positive impact on dog welfare in Indonesia,” said CPPETINDO Business Unit Head Julius Roland Sebastian. (Ant/P-5)
