Every week, the program La Meilleur Friterie by colleagues from RTL-TVI, drops off its bags in the various Walloon provinces to determine the best chip shop in the south of the country. Today, the show focused on two famous chip shops in the province of Namur.
The jury, made up in particular of the host David Antoine, notably visited Christelle who manages the Le Ratelier chip shop located in Jemeppe-sur-Sambre. For the fryer, the short circuit is important to make good products. The manager therefore makes her fries with the potatoes that her brother grows! Kilos of starches to be peeled by hand every day.
And if Christelle obviously makes a point of honor to the quality and origin of her fries, the frituriste also makes sure to use local cheeses. An idea that delighted David Antoine and the professional jury that accompanies him until Christelle talks regarding… goat’s cheese. David Antoine then lets out a cry of disgust before he clarifies: “Goat cheese is impossible, I can’t…”.
Sure of herself, Christelle then replies: “You’ll love this one”!
