Harry Potter, Marvel, Star Wars… There are countless sagas adapted in sets by the brick brand. On the occasion of the release of the 3rd opus Jurassic World next June and following having adapted several scenes from the first films, LEGO has chosen to make physical a cult scene from the original film, Jurassic Park.
Relive the cult Jurassic Park scene with this new LEGO set
Have you been a lifelong Jurassic Park fan and want to add a piece to your merchandise collection? Or did you discover the universe with Jurassic World and fell in love with Steven Spielberg’s film when you saw it for the first time 25 years later? Either way, this set is for you!
Buy the Jurassic Park set on the LEGO site for 99€
This set recreates the cult escape scene from the T. Rex in which the two Murphy children, Tim and Lex, find themselves trapped in their car in front of the T. Rex following a storm allows him to get out of his enclosed. In the pouring rain, the two scientists who were in the car behind them will finally rescue them by distracting the dinosaur’s attention with smoke bombs.
The set is released today and retails for €99.99. Although there are many Jurassic World sets, this is only the second LEGO Jurassic Park set, following T.Rex Carnage, which is no longer sold.
Composition of the LEGO Jurassic Park T. Rex Escape set
The set is made up of 1212 pieces to be assembled for a total length of 58.5 cm and a height of 15.5 cm. Intended for adults, it is intended to be exhibited and to be a real decorative object. It is also an excellent gift for any fan of the saga.
Among the 1212 pieces, you will find enough to assemble a T. Rex poseable from the jaw to the end of the tail and 2 Ford Explorers, iconic of the film and which include recognizable details of the cult scene. The set also includes 4 minifigures of the characters Alan Grant, Ian Malcolm, Tim Murphy and Lex Murphy.
Finally, keen-eyed fans will find nods to the film, including T. Rex footprints and a Danger sign.
We hope that LEGO will ride the vintage wave a little more and imagine other cult film sets from the 90s because it’s a real pleasure!
