Recently Digital Dreams has shared a video of a modified version of GTA 4 using the QuantV mod and re-shade. The result of the work looks amazing.
Grand Theft Auto 4 has been the most renowned Rockstar Games title in history, judging by the number of positive reviews it has received since its release. The game was, without a doubt, a reinvention of the Grand Theft Auto franchise with a much darker story, a gloomy setting and a lot of depth in the gameplay compared to previous installments.
Thanks to this, Grand Theft Auto 4 is at the top of the franchise for an important part of the gaming community, despite all the success that Grand Theft Auto 5 has subsequently achieved. Now that Rockstar has released a remaster of the Grand Theft Auto trilogy, gamers would love to see a remake or at least a remaster of Niko Bellic’s journey coming to next-gen platforms.
That said, even if Rockstar releases the long-awaited remaster, we doubt its final work will be anything like what Digital Dreams has recently tested with this new mod.
What are QuantV mods and re-shade?
The GTA 4 Remake mod makes it look like a 9th gen open world game. A mix of mods from QuantV and a preshade from reshade has resulted in this amazing version of Grand Theft Auto 4which definitely looks better than GTA 5 and even, we might say, its next improved edition.
The addition of Ray-Tracing to Liberty City has greatly changed the look of the city. Despite having that gloomy vibe, it now looks realistic enough, without the infamous grain effect we used to see in the vanilla version of GTA 4.
Unfortunately, despite the fact that these two mods turn Grand Theft Auto into an experience when it comes to seeing the scenarios and delving into the game’s history, the modder has required an extremely expensive computer to test this magnificent modified version of Grand Theft Auto 4.
However, not all bad news. In order to install these mods you will have to subscribe to the modder’s Patreon pagewhere you will find them available. Of course, we recommend that before accessing them you keep in mind that the mods are not always optimized and that your experience might not be smooth enough without a high-spec PC.
